Accessibility

Gloweth Chapel Front Door Open
Wheelchairs

Wheelchair access is through the front double doors, and the inner double doors. The aisle is sloped, and there is plenty of  level floor space in front of the front row of chairs.

Toilets

Men's and Ladies' Toilets are in the back porch. Unfortunately we do not have toilet facilities with adaptations for the disabled.

Hearing

At present we do not have amplification, though the chapel has naturally good acoustics. We have plans to install an induction hearing loop, but this is not yet installed.

Sight

At present we do not have large print Bibles or hymn books. If you are coming to an event where we are using pre-printed materials, please contact us in advance so that we can arrange a large print version.

Mobility

If you need support or assistance in moving around the building, please just ask - we are used to individuals with mobility issues, and understand that sometimes some physical support is needed.

Medical

First Aid kits are readily available. We are currently considering installing a defibrillator, but have not done so yet. If you need to leave a service in the middle because of a medical condition, please do not worry - we understand that some treatments and needs cannot wait. We also understand that a medical need may require you to take someone else with you. This is no problem, and please do not feel awkward about going ahead.

Food and Drink

If you need to use the kitchen facilities to get a drink or a biscuit, please go ahead - there is no need to ask.
